Candle care

Each candle is hand-poured with extra precautions taken to make sure you get the most out of your candle there is some extra things you can do.

  • Always trim your wick to 5mm before lighting your candle to ensure you receive the maximum burn time.

  • When burning your candle for the first time is the most important with a natural candle allow the wax to melt until it reaches the edges of your jar before blowing it out. This will create a candle memory  and a clean and even burn in the future and prevent leaving wax residue around the edge of your candle jar which would not burn if you put out your candle too early the first time.

  • Don't leave your candle burning longer than 3 hours at a time. monitor your burn time , don't leave your candle unattended while burning or near edges or unstable surfaces. Do not leave candles in reach of children or around hazards.

  • Please do not use when the wax reaches 15mm from the bottom of your jar , don't continue to burn as this can cause the jar to break or shatter.

  • After each use (1-3 hours) when the wax has cooled and set, trim your wick to 5mm again before relighting to avoid 'mushrooming' of the wick. Which allows for a cleaner burn next time with less smoke , a smaller flame and black residue around your jar.

  • When you have finished burning your candle, simply wash out any leftover wax with hot water and detergent and re use your jar !
